Discovering UX

Klarisse has always found herself on the verge of tears when she sees someone crying or would instantly be on her toes eager to help when someone is visibly struggling. Later on she found out that she has a high level of empathy in general as pointed out by several psychology tests she has taken both in and out of a professional setting. Being naturally empathic, she is fulfilled by helping people achieve their goals as swiftly and as effectively as possible. Something that thrives well within the field of UX Design.

Klarisse has started learning about UX at the tail end of 2020. She has earned certificates for Understanding User needs, Evaluating Designs with Users , UX Design, and UX Research at Scale.

On May 2021 Klarisse has finished her internship at Varidus Inc., a venture builder and growth accelerator based in Singapore, as a UI/UX designer. During this time her main responsibilities included designing the screens as well as designing the user flows and providing user journeys. During this internship she was awarded as the Best Intern for April 2021.

On October 2021, she finished her UX design internship at Sprout Solutions. She was responsible for a Case Study regarding Push Notifications as a culminating project for the internship. The case study involved research interviews, data analysis, ideation, wire framing, prototyping, and usability tests. This case study earned praises form both her colleagues and her mentor.

After the internship she was hired full-time at FastCo where she is able to apply and test her knowledge about several areas product design. She is currently responsible for both the UI and UX for the company's flagship product, FastJobs, that has presence in three SEA countries [Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines].
